Statement from David Fillers
"I have successfully demonstrated my leadership and management skills though past service in the US armed forces, as an officer and helicopter pilot, and currently as an executive with a large company and as owner of several local businesses. My goal is to take the leadership and management skills I have gained over the years, and to diligently apply them to ensure the public safety of all Wells County residents. I have always led by example, and will continue to do so as the Sheriff of Wells County."

We live in tough times, we all have trimmed our personal budgets, businesses have had to cut back, each of us has felt the pressure of this difficult economy.  Sadly, while MOST of us have done our level best to be more cost conscious, our Sheriff has done just the opposite.  I have outlined some of the trends over the last few years below, but I must tell you all that these numbers and the way the Sheriff has budgeted reflects a direct desire on Bob Frantz’s  part to hide information and deceive constituents.  Finding and deciphering this information has been difficult at best!

As Wells County enters into the beginning of the next decade, we must be cautious and focused in how local government money is spent.  Honest budgets and transparent bookkeeping are more important than ever!   In 2007 our current Sheriff went over budget by $224,350.00, in 2008 he went over budget $187,798.00 and year to date for 2009 he has again exceeded his proposed budget by $215,059.00.  To add insult to injury in November of 2009 he requested yet another $15,000.00.  Fortunately for taxpayers, the county ran out of money to throw at Bob Frantz!  .

None of us have unlimited budgets and neither should Bob Frantz.  I know how to accurately project annual budgets, I have a proven track record of using limited resources to achieve and exceed my goals.  We can no longer put up with Bob Frantz spendthrift ways.  We must stand against Barak Hussein Obama and his local minions.  Tell Bob Frantz and his Obama brethren NO MORE!

November 14th Fundraiser

David Fillers announced his plan to run for Wells County Sheriff
Saturday evening in front of hundreds of supporters who gathered
for a pork chop dinner fund raiser. The event was held at the 4H Park.

Fillers presented a platform based on fiscal conservative management
 to guide the large Sheriff department budget and common sense leadership to train and develop the department staff.

Fillers outlined his experience, leadership and management skills
through service in the US armed forces, as an officer and helicopter
